The International Museums
Sulabh International Museum of Toilets is one of the famous museums in the world and it maintains international standard. Located on the Sulabh Bhawan, Palam Dabri Road the museum is open to public until 5 pm every day. This famous Delhi international museum for hygiene was started in the year 1970 by Dr. Pathak who was the founder of Sulabh International Social Service Organization. This was built as a part of the social reformation movement to induce awareness of sanitation and hygiene.
He worked for the demolishment of scavenging and asked people to built toilets at their homes. He also provided information about the hazards which could cause due to open defecation. The museum displays different types of toilets used from bygone era to modern era.
Shankar's International Dolls Museum is located on the 4, Nehru House, Bahadur Shah Zafar Road, this museum attracts millions of people from all over the world. The museum was founded by the great cartoonist Shankaran Pillai. The visitors can see and collection of dolls from European countries and children’s books.
